I don't know if I'm just overworked or getting old, but lately, I've been misspelling things according to their phonetic spelling. That is, I'll misspell "San Diego" as "Sandy..." and then stop myself, realizing that my left brain has completely taken over my good sense.
I'm sure this has happened to nobody else. I just thought it was amusing, terrifying, and germane.

Re: Weird new typo style
Tue, September 13, 2005 - 11:15 AMlook, for instance, I just got a memo from someone saying "I'll need someone to come up with a blurb ... that matches the category we're submitting two." Now I am sure this person knows the difference between too, to, and two. But he was speaking the words in his head while typing, I'm guessing, and it came out phonetically.
A couple of days ago I got a note from UPS on my door, saying "Your neighbor said know she would not take it." In this case, I don't know what to think... maybe the driver had one of those "Yes and Know" quiz books when he was a kid and never learned it was a pun.
